Privacy Policy

Your trust matters to me. This policy explains, simply and honestly, what personal information I collect when you visit jessicagomma.com, book a session or join my community, how I use it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Who I am

This website is run by Jessica Gomma, trading as jg. healing salon, The Street, The Farnham Pottery, Pottery Lane, Wrecclesham, Farnham, Surrey GU10 4SL. I am the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach me any time at hello@jessicagomma.com.

What I collect

  • When you book a session, course or pass: your name, email address, phone number, the sessions you book and any notes you choose to share.
  • When you pay: payments are processed securely by my booking and payment providers. I never see or store your full card details.
  • When you join the waitlist, The Cocoon or my emails: your name and email address, and which updates you've signed up for.
  • When you get in touch: anything you send me through the contact form, by email or by direct message.
  • Wellbeing information: for Reiki and some sessions, you may choose to tell me about how you are feeling, injuries or health matters so I can hold the session safely. I only ask for what is needed, and I use it only for your care.
  • When you browse: basic, anonymous information about how the website is used, such as pages visited and the type of device, collected through cookies (see below).

How I use it

  • To take and manage your bookings, send confirmations and reminders, and let you know about any changes.
  • To process payments, passes and refunds.
  • To reply to your messages and care for you before, during and after a session.
  • To send you news, offerings and gentle updates, only if you have asked to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • To understand how the website is used so I can keep improving it.
  • To meet my legal, insurance and accounting obligations.

The lawful basis

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), I rely on: contract, to provide the sessions you book; consent, for marketing emails and for any wellbeing or health information you share; legitimate interests, to run and improve my small business in ways you would reasonably expect; and legal obligation, for records I am required to keep.

Who I share it with

I never sell your information. I share it only with the trusted services that help me run the salon, and only as much as they need:

  • Squarespace, which hosts this website, its forms and online store.
  • Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace Scheduling), which manages bookings, passes and appointment emails.
  • Secure payment providers, which process your payments.
  • My email newsletter provider, which sends updates to those who have signed up.
  • My accountant, insurer or legal advisers, where needed.

Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use recognised safeguards to keep it protected.

How long I keep it

I keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide your sessions and for up to six years afterwards, for accounting and insurance purposes. Wellbeing notes are kept only as long as they are needed for your care. Marketing details are kept until you unsubscribe. After that, information is securely deleted.

Cookies

This website uses cookies to work properly, to remember your preferences and to understand how visitors use it. Where non-essential cookies are used, you can accept or decline them through the cookie banner, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to ask for it to be transferred, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Simply email hello@jessicagomma.com and I will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please talk to me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time, for example as new offerings open. The latest version will always be here, with the date it was last updated.
