The Wednesday Reset
Autumn series

Six weeks for the woman who holds everyone else, and would like somewhere to be held herself. A room of eight, following the moon rather than the calendar: the series opens in the dark of the cycle, so the letting go comes first and the building comes after. Each Wednesday you are met at the door, asked how you actually are, moved gently, laid down under the bowls, and finished with Reiki, hands to your heart, one woman at a time.

The weave

Every week holds all five. Each week, one of them leads — chosen to sit with where the moon actually is that Wednesday.

Breath
The way in. Changes the nervous system faster than thinking ever will.
Meditation
The stillness underneath the noise, and what you find waiting in it.
Pilates
The body doing the work. Strength as a form of self-respect.
Reiki
Hands, warmth, and nothing whatsoever to do.
Sound
What moves through you once the words have run out.

Releasethe week you are finally heard

You are met at the door, cleared with sage before you put anything down, and asked how you actually are — then given long enough to answer, out loud, to seven women who are listening and one who is writing nothing down and judging nothing. We open two days before the new moon, at the emptiest point in the cycle, so nothing is asked of you tonight except to stop carrying it. The breath does the emptying. You go home lighter across the chest, and heard, probably for the first time that week.

Intentionthe week you are seen

The new moon has passed and the light is coming back. You lie down, covered and warm, and meditation takes you under the noise until you can see what you are actually calling in — not what you think you should want. Before you leave you name it, only to yourself if you would rather, and I keep hold of it. In week six I will ask you what happened to it, because I will have remembered. Very few people in your life are keeping track of what you want.

Strengththe week you are honoured

The moon is filling and so are you. The work gets physical: slow, precise Pilates, every shape adjusted to your body rather than your body forced into the shape. Nobody at the front to keep up with, no counting, no comparing. And when something has changed in how you stand since week one, I will tell you, because I will have noticed. You go home taller than you came in.

Where am I stronger than I have been admitting?

Receivethe week you are held

The full moon has been and gone and there is nothing left to push for. You lie down, warm and covered, and do absolutely nothing while I come to each woman in turn — hands to your heart, for as long as it takes, nobody watching, nothing required of you. Being given to is harder than the Pilates. It is also the week most women cry, and that is welcome here; you will not be rushed through it or asked to explain it.

Dissolvethe week you are felt

The light is going again. The bowls are played close to you and above you until the sound stops being something you hear and becomes something you feel — pooling in the heart and the solar plexus, moving through your ribs and the backs of your legs. Sound reaches what talking cannot, so something loosens without you ever having to name it, to me or to yourself.

Carry forwardsthe week you know you are loved

We close the day after the new moon, at the very start of a fresh cycle, with all five woven together. You hear back what you named in week two, and what I have watched change in you since. You leave with your own practice — what to do with your breath, your body and your mornings on the days the barn isn't there. Not an ending. The point at which you can hold yourself the way you have been held here.

What am I taking with me?

Between the Wednesdays

Your place in the series includes The Cocoon — the digital space that holds you on the other six days.

  • A card to pull each morning, from the affirmation deck I made for you
  • A journal space of your own
  • Somewhere to keep your morning rituals
  • Words, poems, music and positivity
  • The rest of the group, to sit alongside between Wednesdays
  • And somewhere to ask me anything at all

It is also where the material I curate for the barn goes afterwards, so the poem you heard on a Wednesday evening is there to find again on a Tuesday when you need it.
